Friends’ School to stage Evita

Friends’ School is set to transport the audience of its latest musical production to Argentina for the wonderful Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice show Evita.

Set between 1934 and 1952 in Argentina, Evita follows Eva Duarte Peron’s relentless ambition, from her beginnings as a small-town radio performer to her rise to power as the wife of President Juan Peron and her transformation into secular sainthood as the country’s manipulative, powerful and beloved first lady - a status that continued long after her death.

Director Ashley Fulton commented: “She certainly seduced the nation.
