Friends set to host Fusion Theatre musical fundraiser

FRESH from the huge box office success of Les Miserables, which led to local theatre group Fusion Theatre extending its original run of four performances by an additional two performances, tickets have just gone on sale for Fabulous Fusion, an evening of songs from West End Shows.

The event is taking place at the Assembly Hall, Friends School Lisburn, on Thursday April 25 at 7.30pm.

The programme will include songs and extracts from musicals such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Miss Saigon, Cats, We Will Rock You, and Titanic the Musical performed by the members of Fusion, often referred to as ‘The Fusioneers’.

The evening will be in the capable hands of Fusion’s ‘Mr Music’ Ian Milford, who promises that there will be something for everyone in the wide-ranging programme.

The evening has been arranged by the Rotary Club of Lagan Valley, to raise funds for Neuroblastoma Alliance UK, a charity which supports research into neuroblastoma cancer which is the most common cancer diagnosed in the first year of a child’s life and which accounts for 15% of all cancer deaths in children.

The charity also provides financial assistance for children’s treatment outside of the UK, and support for families affected by the disease.

Lagan Valley Rotary Club is grateful to Ian Milford and the members of Fusion Theatre, for giving up their time to support such a worthwhile cause, and to Friends School for allowing use of the venue.
