Friendship event to be held in Larne Mission Hall

London-based Steven Jaffe, who travels across the UK to build friendship between Christians and Jews, will be speaking at the Old Glenarm Road venue.

The member of the Jewish community said: “Whether its countering anti-Israel extremism or standing up for the persecuted church in the Middle East, it is vital for Jews and Christians to stand together.”

Steven, who was born in Belfast, co chairs Northern Ireland Friends of Israel which has over 700 supporters on its mailing list. He also holds the position of Advocacy Consultant for The Board Of Deputies Of British Jews.

Steven added: “Unfortunately we have seen a surge of anti-Semitism across the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland.

“However the Jewish community is blessed with many good friends in the churches and I am deeply touched by Christian support.”
