From labour ward to Slimming World

Lucy, who lives in Lurgan, was determined to make it to the class, even as her contractions began.

“I went into labour that morning,” Lucy said. “The contractions started just before the class but I thought I might as well go!”

Naturally, Lucy’s classmates were slightly taken aback by her commitment to attend the session:

“They were a bit shocked. Claire, the consultant, couldn’t believe it! As the class went on, the pain was getting worse - so I left before the class ended.”

The morning after her class, Lucy and her husband, Darren, welcomed their first little baby, Meabh, into the world - with proud mum and tot at the class on Wednesday evening.
