Fun and games at summer fundraiser

Mossley Women’s Institute’s June meeting took the form of a summer fundraiser.

A bring and buy sale and a competition to guess the number of sweets in a jar was held to help boost the Institute’s coffers.

Jennifer Cosgrove was the winner of the prize for being the nearest to guessing the correct number of sweets.

After a delicious supper provided and served by the members, a game of pin the tail on the donkey took place, with Isobel Bingham being the overall winner.

Angela O’Connor read an amusing poem and then a game of pass the parcel took place, with Gladys Lennox coming out the winner.

President Ann Graham thanked the members for an enjoyable evening and wished everyone a very enjoyable summer break.

The next meeting of Mossley WI is scheduled to take place in September.
