Fun at Sports Day at Gaelscoil an Chaistil

Last week families and friends gathered to watch pupils from Gaelscoil an Chaistil take part in their Sports Day events at the school.

Each class from the nursery unit through to primary 7 took part in a range of races and competitions followed by a relaxing lunch, ice cream and some games in the fantastic sunshine.

The school recently completed their site extension to include a new car park and playing field which was put to good use during Sports Day.

“This year has been a fantastic year for Gaelscoil an Chaistil, starting in September with our pre-school provision becoming a full time statutory nursery unit. The nursery unit was recently inspected by the Education Inspectorate, of which staff and school were praised for the very good standard of education and provision being given to our nursery school pupils.

“Our whole school community came together last week to enjoy taking part in the school’s annual Sports Day which took place in the schools new playing field.

“I would like to thank everyone that made the effort to come along to celebrate the wonderful talents of our bright pupils here at Gaelscoil an Chaistil,” explained principal Brídín Ní Dhonnghaile
