Geraldine has worked tirelessly to raise cash for the charity since her daughter Aislinn was diagnosed with a brain tumour aged just three and a half.

Aislinn is now 11 and attending Lurgan Model Primary School, and Geraldine is determined to help other children and their families who have also gone through the trauma of cancer.

Geraldine, who spearheads the Lurgan Support group, is urging everyone to join in the fun on August 9.

She said: “NICFC has improved Aislinn’s life and that of her siblings significantly. They have all enjoyed stays down at Narnia, the beautiful log cabin in Newcastle where they were able to meet children in similar situations. Aislinn has also benefitted from the support of a charity specialist and one-to-one sessions which has helped her to understand her condition.

“I want to raise money so more families can benefit from this support,” added Geraldine who has three daughters Sarah, Ciara and Roisin as well as a son, Eamon.

Geraldine revealed the event will start at noon and will have bouncy castles, a disco dome, a five-aside-football tournament and an outdoor craft fair.
