Alderman Paul Porter, speaking about the Summer Scheme, said: “I am delighted that once again the Council has provided funding to this annual summer scheme, which brings smiles to the faces of the participants, teachers and classroom assistants.

“The routine of this scheme is familiar to the children and this is of paramount importance to them and their families.

“Parkview’s summer scheme is well-organised and provides the young people with a fun, structured programme of activities during which they can socialise with their peers.

“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the Fun Day and speaking with the participants as they enjoyed the outdoor activities of the playground, face painting, bouncy castles and balloon modelling.
