Fun day to raise awareness

Birds of prey, an assault course and a fire engine display will be among the attractions on Sunday at a family fun day held by Craigavon company Interface to cap a week of events supporting sustainability awareness.

Known as ‘Mission Zero week’, the initiative highlights the continued environmental progress of the global carpet tile manufacturer, whose sustainable approach to business has seen the Craigavon manufacturing facility dramatically reduce its impact on the environment.

Interface employees are invited to bring their families along to Sunday’s show where there will be entertainment for little kids and big kids alike including a bouncy castle, clown, music, food and ice cream.

Also present at the event will be primary school children and staff whose school gardens have benefitted from Interface grants, and who will get a chance to tour the factory and see how it has been helping make a difference in the environment.

Interface hope that the week’s events will reinforce the company mission to become sustainable by 2020.
