Fun for Lagg parishioners

MEMBERS of St Patrick's, Armoy, will have their very own party on Friday, 30th July, from 7pm, at a parish BBQ in the rectory fields.

‘We have an annual picnic in Loughguile for the members of All Saints, and it is such a happy occasion that we thought we would try a similar event for the Lagg,’ said the Rector, the Revd Frances Bach.

She hopes there will be a bouncy castle, face-painting and a craft corner for the smaller children, 5-a-side football for the older ones, and lots more for everyone. If it rains, as much as possible will take place in two large marquees, one noisy marquee and one quiet one!

‘It will be an excellent way for newer members of the congregation to get to know other people, and it will bring churchgoers and non-churchgoers together as well. We all belong to the Lagg family, whether we go to church or not,’ continued Mrs Bach.

There will be no charge for the BBQ, but there will be a bucket for donations.

The parish also intends to start a monthly bulletin which people can access electronically, or collected from church by people who are not on the internet. It will not be in any way a rival to the Dalriada Parishes magazine, but together the two will help keep parishioners better informed.
