Fun in the Sun this weekend

FINGERS are crossed that the good weather holds for the Lurgan 400 Fun in the Sun events in Lurgan Park this bank holiday weekend.

As part of the Lurgan 400 birthday celebrations, Saturday sees the park catering for our younger citizens with a disco, facepainting and bouncy castles as well as Tiny Life’s sponsored walk.

For a minimum of 10 per family you can walk around the Park, take in its delights and know that your money is going to Northern Ireland’s Premature Baby Charity.

On Sunday the Fun continues from 2-5pm with rowing boats on the Park Lake. There is also live music by the Salvation Army Band (Lurgan Corps) between 2.30-4pm. So what better way to relax over the Bank Holiday weekend than by taking in the sights and sounds of Lurgan Park celebrating Lurgan’s 400th birthday.

“The marquee is up in case the weather is not great, but hopefully the sun will shine and Lurgan people will come out to join in the fun in the Park,” said the Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Mrs Meta Crozier

“Lurgan 400 anniversary celebration events are taking place throughout the year and we have a range of different events planned for all the family to enjoy”.
