Funding fair at the civic centre

Local groups and projects across the Borough can get a taste of vital funding opportunities available to them at the annual event in Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre.

Organised by Craigavon Borough Council’s Development Department, the free Funding and Resources Fair will take place on Tuesday, February 25, from 7pm to 9pm.

It will give local organisations including community groups, play groups, youth groups and voluntary projects the opportunity to speak to a wide range of funders, gather key information on current grant aid schemes available to them and ask specific questions directly to the funders themselves.

The fair centres on bringing regional and local funders and grant awarding bodies together under one roof to display and showcase their funding initiatives and speak directly with local people and groups, offering one-to-one support.

In addition a number of the larger network organizations such as TADA and ABC Community Network will be in attendance while major retailers - ASDA and TESCO will be present to promote the work they do in the community

Chair of the Development Committee, Cllr Carla Lockhart, said: “This event is a great opportunity for local residents and group representatives to meet and speak to key funders and gain a greater understanding of grant criteria.”
