Fundraiser victims to come forward

Police in Lisburn are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in contact with an alleged fraudulent door to door fundraiser, to come forward.

Inspector Sandy Johnston, appealing for information, said: “A male was arrested on suspicion of obtaining money by false representation in the Lisburn area on Sunday, October 5. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have come into contact with a male.”

The arrest followed a report of a male calling to homes in the Strangford Road and Belsize Road areas allegedly collecting ‘sponsorship’ for a tournament trip with the NI youth team.
