Fundraising efforts by Kings Moss Cycling Club move into top gear

KINGS Moss Cycling Club has been celebrated for going the extra mile for NI Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC).

Over three years it has raised an impressive £11,015.28 for the charity which offers practical and emotional support to kids with cancer and their families.

The money was raised through the club’s annual Sportive Cycling event which attracts over 150 participants each year.

NICFC fundraising manager Dawn Weir extended her thanks to Andrew McBurney and the rest of the club’s organising committee.

She said: “The charity is delighted to receive such a generous donation.

“Over this three-year partnership, Kings Moss has managed to raise money which will go towards helping families in Northern Ireland living with a child diagnosed with cancer.

“In addition to practical and emotional help, NICFC also offers social support to kids via residential weekends at its purpose-built log cabin, Narnia, in Newcastle.

“This fantastic donation will make a massive difference and will help us continue to provide an important service to children with cancer and their families.”
