Further rioting arrests
THE police have made further arrests in connection with last month’s rioting in Ballyclare and promised that more are to come.
On Tuesday morning, August 16, two people were arrested in the town on suspicion of involvement during the July 9 and 10 disturbance.
A 17-year-old was arrested at Hollybush Gardens and a 27-year-old arrested in Erskine Park. This brings to a total of seven the individuals arrested in connection with the riot which brought carnage to the streets of Ballyclare after a disagreement with the police over the flying of flags in the town.
