GAA club targeted

A graffiti attack on a GAA club in Ballycastle has been condemned by local political representatives.

Police are examining CCTV footage following an incident at the McQuillan club in the early hours of Tuesday.

Work to remove the graffiti at the entrance to the Whitepark Road premises was carried out Tuesday.

A similar attack was carried out on a nearby Orange hall in the early hours of Sunday.

SDLP councillor Donal Cunningham said the vandalism was “unacceptable”, while Sinn Fein MLA Daithi McKay described the incident as “abhorrent”.
