Gala coffee event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

The event takes place on Saturday, September 18 from 10am to 4pm and Macmillan is inviting everyone to support this event and raise much needed funds for local people living with cancer.

The ladies organising this event are asking for donations of any unwanted cookery books and novels, jewellery and crafts that are in good condition. Pleasecontact 07732489144 for further information or to donate.

There will also be a wide selection of handcrafted jewellery, cookery books, crafts and other items available to buy on the day and while you are taking time to browse what’s on offer, delicious cream teas and coffee will be served.

All monies will be used to support the new Specialist Palliative Care Unit currently being built at Antrim Area Hospital.

Macmillan Fundraising Manager, Maria McGleenon, said: “Macmillan is absolutely delighted to be receiving the support of the ladies of Castlerock and Articlave and the Art Gallery this September.

“A lot of hard work and effort has been put into this event and I am sure it will be a huge success. Macmillan receives NO government funding and therefore relies solely on the support and generosity of the people of Northern Ireland to provide its vital services.”
