

Megan Fleming underwent surgery in Turkey last year to treat the condition, which causes a sideways curvature of the spine.
The Carrickfergus College pupil received the procedure privately after being told she faced a wait of up to one year to have the operation on the NHS.

The gala launch of the charity Megan’s Wish will take place on June 30 at Belfast's Clayton Hotel.
“We are hoping that people will get behind this first charity in Northern Ireland specifically for scoliosis,” said Megan’s mum, Karen.
“Dr Alanay from Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul, who was Megan’s surgeon, will deliver a short presentation into what scoliosis is, treatments and to discuss their wonderful hospital.

“Also attending is personal trainer Eva Butterly, who worked on Game of Thrones and has also had surgery. She will be presenting the benefits of exercise.”
Other guests will be current Miss Antrim, Edel Gilligan, with music provided by Vixen.

The evening will include a champagne reception and three-course meal.
There will also be a raffle with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
