Gales batter north coast

The north coast of Northern Ireland took a battering from gale force winds on Thursday night.

Ballycastle on the North Coast was hammered by gales of up to 70MPH overnight with more wind and snow predicted for the weekend. Ballycastle, for example, witnessed 70 mph winds during the evening.
