The service was to remember the 289 men and women of Inishowen who gave their lives in the First World War of 1914 – 1918.

The New Meadows Community Partnership and the Inishowen Community Group have been working in partnership since 2008.

Sean Henry, Good Relations Officer, Magherafelt District Council, who also attended, said this year’s commemoration was particularly poignant, as it is the centenary of the First World War.
