Traditional drummer Alan Warke says he’s been sounded out by those connected to the Game of Thrones team about the possibility of a loan of one of his lambegs for future use on the hit television phenomenon.

“A boy came to see me there about Game of Thrones, the film, actually these drums,,some of these drums might be going down to be used in that film.

“They have contacted me about them now, so I don’t know if these two [two of fivelambegs he owns] maybe going down, these will be taken [decorative transfers] off them and they’ll be put in character, really, they may actually be played at some stage during the filming of Game of Thrones, hopefully in the future.

“I’m happy to do that. It’s promoting the tradition.”
