Game of Thrones Facebook competition winners

The winners of Tourism Ireland’s Games of Thrones Facebook competition were in Northern Ireland this week to attend the opening night of the Game of Thrones artefacts exhibition in Belfast, and experience a Games of Thrones film location tour around the Causeway Coast and Glens.

Following an itinerary devised by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, the competition winners from Germany, France and GB travelled along the Causeway Coastal Route stopping at the various Games of Thrones film locations at Cushendun, Ballintoy, Larrybane, the Giants Causeway and the Dark Hedges near Ballymoney. The lucky winners also had the opportunity to have a tour of the Titanic Studios in Belfast, courtesy of Northern Ireland Screen.

To coincide with the long-awaited fourth season of the series, Tourism Ireland’s 11-week social media campaign has promoted Northern Ireland to Game of Thrones fans across the world – in Great Britain, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, leveraging the incredible success of the HBO brand and the huge global popularity of the series.
