Gang attack man with iron bars in Coalisland

An attack by a group of men brandishing iron bars in Coalisland was not reported to police for nearly two months.

The male victim of the assault sustained a number of injuries, according to PSNI Inspector, Keith Jamieson, who explained: “It was reported that a man had been threatened and assaulted with by a group of males brandishing iron bars. He sustained a fractured jaw, a broken right arm and damage to the rotator cuff on his right arm.

“The incident was reported to Police on December 2nd, however, it is understood the assault is reported to have happened on October 10th at around midnight.
