Gardening Society appeals for some new members

The Society meets on the third Thursday of each month in St Columbs’Park House at 7.30pm.

Each month there is a programme of activities and the first meeting of the new seasonstarts on September 18 at 7.30pm, with a visit to Ballyrobert Cottage Nursery, Co Antrim. Admission is £4 per person.

Each month there is a plant stall with plants supplied from members’ gardens and the Annual Spring Show takes place in April. Members visit local gardens and also travel to gardens further afield including Scotland, Wicklow, Sligo and Dublin.

The current President is Liam Greene, a well known local businessman and expert gardener.

An all inclusive group, the Society would really welcome new members.
