Garvagh arson attack

Police are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in the Main Street area of Garvagh.

Shortly after 4.00am on Sunday, 30 October the male occupier of the house was awoken by his smoke alarm. Upon awakening he discovered a fire at the bottom of his stairs, which he was able to extinguish himself.

He suffered smoke inhalation as a result of this incident.

D/Sergeant Wallace would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Detectives at Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 505 30/10/16. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
