Gates stolen in Dromore

Thieves have made off with three ornamental gates from a Dromore farmhouse in one of a number of recent rural thefts.

Police are appealing for information following a spate of thefts, several of which involved farming equipment.

The three gates were stolen from an old farmhouse at Oakhill Road, Dromore sometime between April 17 and 18.

In another incident, sometime between May 7 and 8, a shed on a farm at Killysorrell Road was entered.

A bale lifter and bale handler were stolen.

Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity around the area during the time in question or anyone who has information which may assist the investigation.

Regarding the theft of the gates they would like to hear from anyone who knows their whereabouts or who may have noticed any suspicious activity at the time of the theft.

Meanwhile, police are reminding people to report anything suspicious to them, no matter how trivial as it may prove be the link that they need to identify the person involved.
