The court heard that shortly before 9pm on the Armagh Road, Portadown, Gibson approached a police vehicle.

The defendant, who appeared intoxicated, started shouting and gave police a two fingered gesture.

He was warned about his behaviour but began to swear. There were members of the public in the area at the time.

A barrister representing Gibson said he had a drink problem and this has led to his record of offending. He was currently serving a sentence.

Gibson waived his right to a pre-sentence report.
