Gavin’s Everest Odyssey

A Coleraine mountaineer will describe his Everest Odyssey during a fascinating talk in the University of Ulster, Coleraine, this Thursday night.

Gavin Bate will talk about his six expeditions to the summit of Mount Everest in the past six years - with and without oxygen.

He will give an insight into organising and leading an expedition and the perils of “unforseen circumstances” in the notorious death zone.

Gavin will use stunning video and photography to illustrate his talk, which takes place in the Senior Common Room from 6.30pm. Admission £5.

Doors open at 6pm. Proceeds to The Moving Mountains Trust.
