George Best bank notes stolen in Drumahoe

Sometime between 8am and 5.25pm a house was broken into in The Beeches.

A watch and a number of George Best £5 notes were among the items taken.

Detective Constable Richard Donnell said: “I would be particularly interested in asking a man who was in the area offering gardening services, or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, to contact detectives at Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
