George gets ‘on his bike’ for Marie Curie

Local man George McBride has decided no length is to far when it comes to helping Marie Curie Cancer Care and has challenged himself with the mighty task of cycling the full length of Ireland whilst raising much-needed funds for the charity.

This exciting one-week cycle adventure starts on 4th May 2013, however the journey for George began earlier this year when two close family members were diagnosed with cancer and more recently when he lost two friends to the disease. With the struggle against cancer weighing heavily on his mind,

George decided it was time to help - not one to shy away from a challenge he signed up for Marie Curie’s annual Malin to Mizen cycle.
