Gerry’s rocking photographs in the frame

Eye-catching snaps from concerts and festivals including Liam Gallagher are in the frame in his first solo display.

The pictures are on show at Dawsons Music on Belfast’s Royal Avenue and is open to the public.

The snaps were taken from 2010 until September 2012.

Gerry is a well-known photographer, with a particular speciality in the coverage of live music events.

His experience is extensive and he has covered internationally-established artists such as Beady Eye, Alabama 3 and The Darkness. To remain true to himself and his original roots he regularly snaps bands and artists on the local music scene, including The Mama Kaz Band, Gareth Dunlop and The Wonder Villains.

Gerry’s passion for photography doesn’t stop at the live music scene.

He enjoys and is experienced in promotional shoots.

Gerry is often seen both in and out of the studio taking shots of local bands and artists.

As an active and contributing member of Shorts Camera Club in east Belfast he organises regular shoots in the club’s studio.

Regular work includes covering entertainment events for local media including radio station U105 and UTV Entertainment.

Gerry also covers events for CQAF, including the Out to Lunch Festival and the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.

Other festival work includes Belsonic, Sunflowerfest, the inaugural East Belfast Arts Festival and the Ulster Bank Festival at Queen’s.
Gerry is the great nephew of the renowned Irish landscape artist Sam McLarnon.
