Get creative with new arts project

IF you have an interest in the Arts and want to find out more about how to get involved in the local Arts scene in Craigavon, then come along to the launch of a brand new project called ‘Creative Craigavon’.

Creative Craigavon is a joint project between the arts development department at Craigavon Borough Council, Craigavon Arts in Motion and Millennium Court Arts Centre and will work to profile and promote the Arts locally.

The launch will take place at the Brownlow Community Hub on Saturday, March 2 at 1pm and you are invited to come along and relax, listen, watch and take part in music, dance, ceramics and pottery, willow weaving, digital music, make, do and take away, photography, digital media and much more.

It’s also a chance to meet arts groups and artists, get advice from the Community Arts Partnership, Art Take Part, Test Drive the Arts, Visual Arts Ireland, Creative Edge as well as getting grant aid advice.

“There really is something for everyone at this launch,” said Catherine McNeill, Community Arts Development Officer. “So whether you love to be creative through your work or as a hobby or you just want to find out more about getting involved, this is the event for you. I would also like to extend my thanks to the staff at the Community Hub who have helped to make this launch possible.”
