Get fit and help hospice by running in Lurgan Park race event

THE Lurgan Park 5km Race and Family Challenge will take place on Sunday, with the route incorporating pathways round the lake areas of the park - all in aid of the Southern Area Hospice.

For participants who prefer a shorter run there is the 5km family challenge - where up to five family members can run 1km each - or alternatively the 1km Family Challenge can be completed by walking or running and families are very welcome to enter.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd in each category: individual male, individual female, veteran 45+ (male and female) and under-14s, male and female.

Entry fees are £10 for the 5km and minimum donation of £5 for concessions. Family challenge is £2 per person or £10 for a family.

Registration will take place on the day between 9am to 11am at the bowling pavilion.

An individual race number must be pinned to the front of the running vest, which is non-transferable, and will be available at registration.
