Get on your bike, Santa!

SANTA will be swapping his sleigh for a bike this weekend as he - or more precisely 30 Santas - take to the roads for charity.

The red-suited cyclists will take a 40-mile round trip from Banbridge to Newcastle and back in aid of the NSPCC this Saturday December 17.

They’ll be stopping for soup with the NSPCC‘s local fundraising committee on Newcastle promenade before returning to Banbridge in the early afternoon.

Cyclist Stephen O’Neill, from Scarva said, “We’re all looking forward to a winter warmer on the bikes, and really want to do something special for NSPCC. Every £5 we raise could help the NSPCC be there when a young person contacts ChildLine, and we want to help as many young people as we can this Christmas.”
