The ‘Quare Gunk’ by local playwright Joyce Minford sees the world weary widow Elizabeth Hamilton played by Janette Stirling slaving away to look after her two middle aged sons, Willie and Hughie (John Christie and Peter Alexander), on their small farm holding in North Antrim. When Mrs Hamilton passes away suddenly the two bachelor brothers attempt to look after themselves but Willie is concerned about the intentions of local widow (Cathy Knowles) and her two weans’, Sammy (Adam McAuley) and daughter (Jessica Reid). With their culinary skills failing them abysmally Willie embarks upon an ambitious plan to find himself a suitable wife.

Admission price is £6 per adult and £3 per child and payment can be made at the door. Glarryford YFC are now taking bookings for performances in February, if anyone is interested please contact Cathy on 07709105653.
