Get toasty with Firmus

HOMEOWNERS in Banbridge only have a few weeks left to grab a ‘Toasty Homes’ grant, securing up to £1500 towards the installation costs of converting to a new natural gas heating system.

Last year more than 600 homeowners benefited from the scheme, including Jim Malloy from Banbridge, who enjoyed a toasty, warm, fuel-efficient winter in his home.

He commented: “I am delighted that we made the switch to natural gas. It has been great to have a constant supply of warmth and hot water 24/7, especially during the colder months. My home feels cosier than ever and we are certainly enjoying the lower monthly fuel bills!

To qualify for the ‘Toasty Homes’ scheme, people must: Own their own home or live in privately rented accommodation; Currently use LPG, oil, Economy 7, solid fuel or have no central heating; Live along the firmus energy natural gas network; Be single with an income/pension of up to £24K gross per annum ; OR couple (with/without children) /single parent family with income/pension up to £35K gross per annum
