As an ambassador for this year’s campaign, she is encouraging everyone in the North Coast area to step up and support the local charity, and make a real difference to the lives of the terminally-ill.

Now in their 35th year, the NI Hospice Walk asks people from across the country to lace up their trainers, and join in their local walk, one of which is a three mile walk along the scenic Portstewart Strand Beach, taking place on Saturday, March 21 at 10am.

Siobhan said: “It’s great to be able to do something that’s not only fun and great exercise, but to raise money for an organisation that does such amazing work in caring for those at the end of life.”

Joanna Pawson, Hopsive Fundraising Manager, says: “sponsorship money of just £30 will pay for one hour of specialist nursing care for a patient at home.
