Girlfriend did not pay for insurance
INSTEAD of paying his car insurance a Craigavon man's girlfriend used it for something else, the local court heard last Thursday.
Chris Anthony Gorman (36), of Willowfield Crescent, Craigavon, was fined 300 and given eight penalty points for driving without insurance on September 20 last year.
The court heard he was stopped at Hillcrest in Lurgan.
Mr Peter Murphy, representing Gorman, said his client had a bad record but his last offence was 13 years ago.
He explained that Gorman’s girlfriend was supposed to have paid the insurance but she used the money for something else. He got insurance cover four days later.
