Givan welcomes new bus services for the Pond 
Park area

Mr Givan said he would like to express his thanks to Translink and in particular Jim McCauley, Service Delivery Manager, Lisburn District, for recognising the needs of almost 1000 homes that will now benefit from increased accessibility to public transport.

“This new bus service operating Monday to Friday on an hourly service will increase the opportunities for people being able to get into Lisburn and I know this will be particularly welcome with our older population,” he said.

“This development is particularly encouraging bearing in mind that many bus services throughout the province are being considered for reduction.”

Mr Givan said he is confident local residents in the area will avail of this very convenient service, particularly as a new fleet of mini buses have recently been acquired for all local city services.
