Glascar Ploughing Match a great success

Glascar Ploughing Society recently held their Annual Ploughing Match on lands kindly granted by Mayne McConville.

There was a good turnout for the event, which has now been held for the last seventeen years,

Alderman Elizabeth Ingram from Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council attended the event,

In the Members Class Eamon Dornan took first place, with John Dan O’Hare in second and John McQuaid in third place.

In the Three Furrow Class first place was taken by Ronnie McKinstry, with Paddy McEvoy in second place and Mark O’Hare in third.

James McKinstry won the top spot in the Open Hydraulics category, with Harry Elliot securing the second place slot and Mark Trimble finishing in third place.

Patrick Pyres was crowned as the winner in the Novice Class, with Sam Graham coming home with the second place title and Sean Hughes in third place on the day.

This year’s competition was another great success.
