Glenariffe ‘refusal’
PLANNERS are minded to refuse an application made by Mr E. McAllister to gain planning permission for a one and a half story dwelling, new access and associated works 30 metres north west of 56 Glen Road, Glenariffe.
Planners said:
* The proposal is contrary to rural development policies, in that it has failed to demonstrate that the proposed building fails to blend with the landforms, slopes and other natural features of the site and therefore would not visually integrate into the surrounding landscape.
* The application has provided insufficient information to demonstrate the access to the site would not result in the safety or inconvenience to road users.
The case has been deferred for a month.
