12-year-old Ricky was born with severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy and suffers from learning difficulties and epilesy, leaving him unable to walk or communicate.

He attends the private Centre for Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Medicine Ltd in Newry to receive intensive treatment, which has enabled him to sit up unaided for 20 minutes.

The therapy, which costs £55 per hour, aims to prevent osteoporisis and aid mobility but also helps Ricky’s communication skills by stimulating neurons in the brain.

Ricky currently attends the centre once a week for treatment.

Glenarm Community Focus would like to thank everyone who supported their fundraising efforts.
