The charter mark in hospitality training and customer servicing has been developed by Tourism NI and People First, to raise professional standards and ensure visitors to Northern Ireland have a warm welcome and memorable experience.

Glenarm Buildings Preservation Trust and all Trainees offered thanks to Ulster Bank for their generous grant under the Community Impact Fund.

A spokesperson for the Trust said: “This ensured that Training appropriate to the needs of different groups and interests could be delivered at a pace which suited everyone.

“The impact on community has been very positive as all trainees completed the courses, gained confidence and developed a team spirit which will ensure that visitors are well looked after in Glenarm.

“Recognition of Glenarm as a World Host Village should prove a big attraction in visitors choosing to come to Glenarm and the greater Mid & East Antrim Council areas.”
