The Inspiration Point campaign is part of the charity’s overall aim to broaden its reach. Inspire wants to ensure that everyone has access to information about mental health and wellbeing and is aware of where to access this information.

Unfortunately there is still a stigma that surrounds mental health, by providing easily accessible information in high traffic public venues, they hope to reach even more people than before.

Throughout the year, the charity will regularly update the information within the Inspiration Point stands to focus on a range of themes across all aspects of life, from ageing to motherhood, sports to rural life.

As a supporter of the Inspiration Point campaign, Glenullin GAC is making a pledge to work with Inspire and promote the charity’s vision of wellbeing for all and will display information that members of the local community can access with ease.

Louise O’Connell, Health & Wellbeing Officer with the club, said: “There’s no time like the present to be raising awareness of our Health and Wellbeing in Glenullin GAC.

“We are a busy, thriving rural community where the Gaelic Club and Shop play such a huge part in our everyday lives. We are delighted to become an Inspiration Point as it makes it easy for everybody in the community and our visitors, to access interesting information and guidance about our everyday Mental Health...whether we are collecting kids from Naiscoil, dropping kids off for Camogie and Football training, or popping in to get the paper and freshly baked scones in the morning. It will help to get everybody acknowledging how busy and stressed we can all feel at times, and open the channels for chatting about our everyday mental health.”
