Glynn River bridge work

East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson has welcomed improvements to Glynn River Bridge. “Although there may be disruption to passengers for a short time, this shows a welcome commitment by Translink to continuing rail services to Larne,” the Alliance Party representative said.“Upgrading the track will ensure the line is sustainable for years to come, and is very welcome in the context of cuts in services in other areas.“Translink have also announced they are working to minimise any noise and disruption to local residents, including setting up a helpline to encourage communication between the residents and contractors. “I will be monitoring the situation to ensure that this operates efficiently.”The railway line from Whitehead to Larne will close from August 3 to late September.
