Go ahead for park and ride building

Planning permission has been granted to the Department of Regional Development’s Roads Service for a new building at Sprucefield.

The single storey terminal building will be situated at Eglantine Road to service the park and Ride facility. The new building, which will also include toilets and waiting room, is in lieu of the previously approved security hut, public toilet and bicycle stand.

Two letters of objection opposing the planning application were lodged with the Planning Service. Despite the objections, permission was granted at this week’s meeting of Lisburn City Council’s Planning Committee.
