Go wild at Lagan Valley’s wilderness day

TAKE a walk on the wild side with all the family...that’s the invitation from the Lagan Valley Regional Park team.

The wilderness day will be held on Saturday August 20 at the Lock Keeper’s Visitor’s Centre near Shaws Bridge and will feature a wide range of activities and exhibitions including a nature themed arts and crafts workshop and an amazing aeronautical display from NI School of Falconry.

You will have the opportunity to see many majestic birds of prey such as hawks, owls, falcons and eagles.

There will be information stands from the RSPB, Ulster Wildlife Trust and you will also have the chance to see inside the newly restored Lock Keeper’s Cottage.

The Wilderness Fun Day is free of charge and is taking place from 11.00am until 4.00pm at the Visitor Centre, on the towpath just off the Milltown Road near the Ramada Hotel.
