Go wild in the aisles in aid of Larne Youth

A LUCKY shopper will have the chance to raise cash for Larne Youth and bag a trolley full of groceries for themselves in the process.

Larne Youth in conjunction with the Redlands Asda store have come together to host a grocery trolley dash in the store on Sunday, April 1.

The trolley dash is the first of its kind to be held in the store with tickets priced at £2 and they are on sale at the customer service’s kiosk within the store and also from members of Larne Youth.

The draw will take place on Saturday, March 31. The holder of the winning ticket will have 90 seconds to cram as many groceries as they can into their trolley.

Larne Youth chairman Nat Woodside said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Asda Larne for the commitment they have so far shown to helping Larne Youth. We encourage shoppers to buy a ticket and try their luck, while helping us raise much needed funds for the club.”

Steven Henry, general store manager at Asda Larne said: “This is a very exciting event for the store to be hosting and we think it’s the first trolley dash to be hosted in any of our Asda stores in Northern Ireland.

“Larne Youth is the biggest youth community group in Larne and we at the local store are delighted to be able to help”.
