Golden girl of Gillaroo lodge
For most people, gold is associated with a 50th anniversary, but not so at the Gillaroo Lodge nursing home in Larne where, for many years now, gold is the gift for staff who has completed 10 years of service.
Domestic manager Isobel Hodge is the latest employee to receive her gold bracelet from directors Tom and Margaret Boyle and Liz Rowan.
Making the presentation at a specially organised “big breakfast”, Liz thanked Isobel for her commitment, adding that she believes that the long service of staff at Gillaroo is what makes the quality of care there so good.
Isobel is the 16th member of staff to receive a 10-year service award. Six employees have received awards for 20 years’ service.
