Good turn out for Caring Caretaker's Golf day

COLERAINE'S Caring Caretaker, Davy Boyle hosted his annual golf day at Castlerock Golf Club on Friday.

Over 150 golfers from as far afield as Limerick joined Davy, to raise money for his chosen charities for the year - Chest Heart and Stroke, Motor Neurone Disease, Samaritans, Age Concern, Cystic Fibrosis, Antrim Area Hospital Neo-Natal Unit and Parkinsons.

John Gilmartin was the winner of the mens section, while Linda Creaney won the ladies section.

Runners up were Gareth Morrison and Simon Cameron and Norma Bennet and Esther Henry.

Bonnar Clarke won the Men's Longest Drive; Helen Smith won the Ladies Longest Drive, while William Moore and Yvonne Mitchell won the Nearest the Pin competitions.

Davy Boyle, Coleraine's Caring Caretaker, thanked all the golfers who took part on the day, his sponsors, and Castlerock Golf Club for their help.

He had a special thank you for Pat Hunter and John McClure for their help on the day.
